Reflections on viewing several other students efforts to use Photostory 3

I really enjoyed looking at the various photostories. They had some good ideas for how simple it is for children to use this product to create a storyboard and then a video that tells about something they have studied. I think this is something the children can really get into.

Reflections on how I might adapt the digital storytelling process to my grade level.

Third graders are fairly tech savvy. They have spent years playing on computers by the time they reach 3rd Grade. These medium of digital storytelling can provide them with a way to begin to share what they know about computers. It can give them insight in how computers are more than just a toy, but an actual tool to use in their learning process.

Students in the third grade can use this medium for interpretive creations like the one I have attached below. But they can also learn to use it to record a journal of a science experiment! They can recreate history by creating digital stories about the history and social studies they are learning in class. They can be encouraged to use digital storytelling to demonstrate that they understand a concept in nearly any subject.
